How to create and verify my Anycoin Direct account

Introduction

At Anycoin Direct, it is mandatory to create your personal account. The minimum age is 18 years old. With a verified account, you are free to purchase and sell the available cryptocurrencies on Anycoin Direct. For better protection, we have integrated a level system. This level system upgrades your account which requires you to upload certain documents. A higher account level raises your limits on both buy and sell orders and increases the amount of transactions per 24 hours. For privacy reasons, getting a higher level is optional and not mandatory. We respect your privacy!

Step 1: Creating an account on Anycoin Direct (level 1)

On our website you can create an account by clicking ‘Register’ in the top right corner. In the next screen we ask for the following basic information; name, address and email. Please make sure that this information is correct. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address that you entered. In this email you will find a link and an activation code. Open the link or enter the code in the ‘Token’ field. This will activate your Anycoin Direct account.

Wrong address or fake name

Registering a wrong address or a fake name can result in ‘blocked’ orders. The name of your Anycoin Direct account should correspond with the name present on your official, government issued, ID card, passport or driver's license as well as your personal bank account.

Step 2: First successful order and phone number verification (level 2)

Two requirements are needed in order to become level 2:

  1. A successful first order 
  2. A verified mobile phone number

Seven days after this first successful order, your account will automatically be upgraded to level 2. You can verify your mobile phone here. The country code and the additional ‘0’ are not needed when entering your mobile phone number.

Example: If your phone number is 020 1234 5678, you fill in your number as presented in the picture below:

After submitting your mobile phone number, you will receive a four-digit code from the sender ‘Anycoin’ in the form of a text message:

Enter this code in the box as presented below, this box will automatically appear after sending the four-digit code to your (mobile)phone. After clicking ‘Next’ your phone number is successfully verified:

 Step 3: Uploading an identification document (level 3)

Three requirements are needed in order to become level 3:

  1. A successful first order
  2. A verified mobile phone number
  3. An official government issued, identification document

Fourteen days after this first successful order and approval of the identification document, your account will automatically be upgraded to level 3.

The following documents are accepted:
  • Government issued passport
  • Government issued identification card
  • Government issued residence permit

If you wish to do so, you are allowed to ‘blank-out’ some information as long as your name, address, date of birth, picture and expiration date are clearly visible! You can upload your identification document here.

The document needs to have the following requirements:
  • High-quality (max. 4mb)
  • In colour (no black and white)
  • The name, address, date of birth, picture and expiration date must be visible
  • A valid document (not expired)

How to upload?
Go to your account dashboard and click on the blue 'upgrade' button or click here. Click ‘browse’ on the right side of level 3 and upload your document as a .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .pdf file extension. After successfully uploading your document, you should see the following message: “Waiting for confirmation”.

Unlocking SEPA/Giropay

Once the ID documents have been approved, the following payment methods will be unlocked:

  • SEPA
  • GiroPay

Uploading these documents can be done on any level, even level 1!

 

Step 4: Uploading a proof of residence (level 4)

Four requirements are needed in order to become level 4:

  1. A successful first order
  2. A verified mobile phone number
  3. A verified government issued, identification document
  4. A proof of residency

Fourteen days after this first successful order and approval of the proof of residency document, your account will automatically be upgraded to level 4.

In order to confirm your address we ask you to upload a proof of residence. The document should clearly state your name, address and a recent date (no older than three months). If you can not provide us with a proof of residence because you receive all your mail online, uploading a screenshot is not permitted. Downloading a .pdf (from a telephone- or electricity bill) and uploading it into your Anycoin Direct account is allowed. As soon as both documents (ID + Proof of residency) are approved by our compliance department and your first order is at least 14 days old, your account will be upgraded to level 4. 

Suggestions for a proof of residence:
  • Utility bill
  • Monthly phone subscription
  • Current bank statement
  • A receipt or bill of a (web)shop order
The following requirements must be met:
  • Your name and current address
  • Date of issue
  • No older than 3 months
  • Digital/Printed (not handwritten)
  • High quality scan or photo
The following document are not allowed as a proof of residency:
  • ID card or passport, with the address written on the backside.
  • Handwritten documents.

How to upload?
Go to your account dashboard and click on the blue 'upgrade' button or click here. Click ‘browse’ on the right side of level 4 and upload your document as a .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .pdf file extension. After successfully uploading your document, you should see the following message: “Waiting for confirmation”.

 

Step 5: Video verification on Skype (level 5)

The final step of reaching a higher level is done by doing the Skype video verification. When all the uploaded documents (level 1-4) are approved, you can complete the following steps:

  1. Getting Skype

    Skype is an easy to use application which is primarily used for video calls. You can download Skype here. If you do not have a webcam on your computer or laptop, you can also download Skype as an app on your mobile phone or tablet. You need to create a Skype account, if you want to use the application. Please be aware that ‘Skype for business’ is not compatible (for video calls) with the regular Skype application, so you can not contact us if you are using a business account.

  2. Add us on Skype:

    When you open up your Skype account, below your account name in the top left corner, you will find the search bar. You can enter 'live:25c52d9894125f80' click on our name and add us to your contacts or you can contact us on the live chat (on our website) and tell us your Skype username and email you used for your Skype account. We will then add and contact you on Skype.

  3. The Skype video verification:
    1. Provide us with the email you used to create your Anycoin Direct account.
    2. We will check if the uploaded documents have been approved.
    3. After approval and confirmation, we can start the video call. Please make sure that your camera is switched on. Do not call us, we will call you!
    4. In the video call you need to present the same identification document that you have uploaded on your Anycoin Direct account.
    5. After a quick approval, your account will be upgraded to level 5.

 

Skype Warning!

Our Skype channel is for video verifications only! We would never give you a coin address or ask for your coin address. Placing sell orders through Skype is something we would never do. If someone on Skype asks for this information, report them and contact us as soon as possible.
